Letting Go, BEing in the Flow – The Law of Disattachment

“Always without desire we must be found,
If its deep mystery we would sound;
But if desire always within us be,
Its outer fringe is all that we shall see.”

Lao-Tzu Tao Te Ching (J. Legge, translator) 1891

Ancient martial arts masters taught the Law of Disattachment. When you hold desire, you restrict the flow of energy. It is as if you are trying to force energy to exhibit or appear a certain way. We often use force to create a “desired” outcome, right? To truly BE in the flow of universal energy is to let go of all desire because desire impedes the flow of universal energy. We need to learn to exist simply in a state of BEing that allows universal energy to move in us and through us and back out to the greater universal field. Then all things move in harmony and synchronicity.

Have you ever thought of somebody only to have them call you the next minute? That is a synchronicity. How did it happen. In that moment, you were both in a state of allowing or simply BEing.

Disattachment is a fundamental teaching of Buddha. He recognized that only when we let go of our inner desires and seek outwardly that which is good for all, thereby including that which is also in our own better interests because we individually are part of the greater ALL, then in that state do we truly reflect enlightment – we are all ONE.

When you create an attachment to something mentally and emotionally, it is like creating a string to a thing that is now attached to you and you have to carry it with you until you can cut the string and let it go. Rather, practice being an observer of all things including your own thoughts and emotions – don’t attach to them, just let them come, observe them and let them leave. You have less strings to cut and less baggage to carry.

Strings can also act like tourniquets on your energy field, cutting off the flow of energy in your body. You might have heard of these as stuck emotions. This is often seen in the field of massage therapy. A massage therapist working on a person might release one of these stuck emotions and for no reason the person will start to cry or laugh.

To understand the deep mysteries, we must first start practicing how to release and let go and get in the flow….BEcome ONE with the universe – that includes everybody and everything (animate and inanimate) around you.

Are You Prepared for the Unexpected?

What do you do when the world as you know it suddenly changes and everything you thought was stable and secure becomes unstable and unsecure within moments?

What is the source of your strength and inner resilience?

Exactly two years ago to this month I wrote about just such a thing. I don’t often watch Glenn Beck but when I opened the news links this morning, the caption to his program caught my attention. If you haven’t seen his program from yesterday (2010-11-05), you might want to consider watching it, no matter where you live in the world, because the impact will be global not just national.

The US Federal Reserve has decided to print more money. This is its solution to the financial crisis the US finds itself in. When really the problem isn’t a lack of money or currency, it’s the mismanagement of what already exists.

However, the BIGGER problem lies in the printing of more money which will devalue the current US Dollar which in turn will affect all currencies.

Interestingly, too, there is a yet another G20 meeting coming up in the next several days. Will there be more talk of a global currency?

I’m not a doomsayer but when all the signs point to an immenent event then somebody should make those unaware aware. If a volcano is smoking those at its base should seek cover immediately.

So, what do you do on the day after when the money you had in the bank you thought had a certain value suddenly now has no value? How do you keep a roof over your head, food on the table, and clothes on your back?

Exactly who and what is you worship? Is it money? Is it yourself – humanism? Or, do you believe in a higher BEing, whatever name you decide to call Him, BELIEVE. That is your only source of strength in a time of nothingness. That is the only ONE who can provide when there is nothing any person or any government can do for you. BELIEVE with all  of your BEING, Trust with all of your BEing, and KNOW in your Heart (Faith) that all will be well. It’s darkest before the light.

Light is coming and so is a HUGE time of change. How will you prepare for that change? Prepare by looking inward (find your connection to source) and then reach outward to others and help any way you can in time of need.

Before Peace comes sudden destruction. Be Prepared!

Worldwide Peace Is Coming

You may have been hearing about a great universal shift that is coming.

Some are talking about it as a shift back towards the Divine Feminine, a balancing of universal energy away from the dominant male Yang back to the feminine Yin.

Along with that shift is a long anticipated prospect of worldwide peace.

But peace will not come the way some are envisioning.

There is a great social upheaval occurring globally as man crafts a global social economy. Peace does not come from men imposing will and design of peace upon the rest of mankind. Peace is a state of BEing that comes from within each and everyone of us. When each individual comes to realize Peace from within, then the world truly will be at peace.

This hearkens back to my earlier question of Development or Evolution?

Are we as humans developing into the fullness of spirit potential through the development of sound moral character and total outgoing unconditional love for others or are we evolving? Nature speaks the truth. It teaches development is the way offspring grow and mature to reach a similar identity as the adults from which they sprung. We are growing creative beings created by the Source of all that IS. We are to grow up into the fullness of Source. Just as human parents teach and guide their children to grow up to be responsible adults, our spiritual parent is waiting and watching, teaching and guiding each and every child to grow up to reach the fullness of our spirit potential to be responsible spiritual beings.

If every person in the world would simply make a personal commitment to love unconditionally everything and everyone that exists, peace would suddenly exist.

There are a number of prominent individuals promoting Peace Projects. Two such individuals are Deepak Chopra through his Alliance for a New Humanityand Masaru Emoto through his Emoto Peace Project.

So let me ask the question, “Are YOU at PEACE?” Is Peace a State of BEing that you reside in perpetually? Are you at peace when events occur in your daily life that could trigger upset and emotional discontent? What is your perspective and mindset about events as they occur? Have you developed a state of Conscious Awareness? Do you practice Letting Go?

When you can see events as they occur in your day-to-day life as an observer and not become attached to any emotions or outcome from those events, you are existing in a state of Conscious Awareness.

By not attaching to outcomes, whatever outcome occurs is okay. There is an acceptance that everything that IS has a reason for BEing. There is no emotional negativity attached to the event. Not attaching emotion helps to clear your emotional body; you begin paving the way to BEing in a state of continual Peace.

Peace is a mindset. The mind affects the body’s responses to stress. The body’s response releases chemicals that affect the mind and body. So, here too, we have the mind-body-spirit all working in cohesion.

What emotions elicit a peaceful mindset and state of BEing? Gratitude, joy, love, contentment, happiness are some of these high vibrational emotions that lead to peace. Can you list any others?

By keeping these emotions in the forefront of your thoughts, you create the cellular vibration that matches up with universal vibration. These emotions drive your WILL. As you exist in this higher vibrational state, your body will begin to crave to BE in this higher state continually. You create a state of peace.

Peace will come to the world. It will not come by the craftiness of man, by social engineering or the expunging of anti-peaceful or nonconforming individuals. Peace will finally come when each and every one – every person – embraces unconditional love and chooses to be at peace from within.

Letting Go

What is letting go? What does it mean to let go? What does letting go have to do with stress anyway?

Letting go is as simple as it sounds, but not as easy as it sounds. If you’re struggling to Let Go, you are hanging on.

Letting go is disconnecting from your thoughts and emotions. Most people relate their thoughts and feelings as to who they are. But you are not your thoughts and emotions. Your thoughts and emotions are expressions of the state of BEing you currently find yourself in. Your State of BEing can be controlled and changed at WILL. Will Power is the greatest Power in the Universe. As you WILL to change your thoughts and emotions and Choose to change your thoughts and emotions, you begin the process of Letting Go.

Holding onto thoughts and emotions creates tension in the body. The tension slowly builds over time creating chronic cellular stress. Tension restricts the flow of universal energy creating energy blockages. Letting Go of stored thoughts and emotions, old baggage, and becoming Present with the Moment, releases tension, eases constriction, creates fluidity in the body and allows energy to begin to flow more freely.

Letting Go the Law of Least Effort

Letting Go The Law of Least Effort

2008-05-21 10:05:30

What is Letting Go? What does this mean? More importantly, how does one apply it in one’s life?

Letting Go is also called the Law of Allowing. It means we stop trying to do everything in our lives and allow the creative force to flow through us. Everything? You might well ask. Yes, indeed, everything.

Having said this, this is not an easy thing to do, this letting go and allowing. In fact, it’s one of the hardest things you will ever do! Why? Because the ego doesn’t allow it. The ego always wants to be in control. The ego feels like it has to be in control. At a truly spiritual core and centeredness, you will learn and will allow yourself to gradually let go of control.

Ask yourself, everytime you are faced with a decision or a question, when dealing with your children, where does “this” (the thing you are facing) fit into the whole scheme of things? How big is it and will it matter tomorrow, next year, five years from now, 50 years from now?

When put into perspective, we soon realize that all things are really rather small and insignificant. We are never really in control of anything. Control is an illusion. For those who obsess and are compulsive about having to have things a certain way, what will it matter in the long run to do something differently, put things in a different place, rearrange things, put things into a new perspective? Change opens our minds to see things in a new light, from a different perspective. One slight change, can open us up to infinite possibilities.

Letting go is about stepping aside from oneself and allowing whatever greater power you believe in to work through you, to use you as a conduit of greater things. You will see things begin to happen around you. Things will show up and you will know, intuitively, what you should follow through with and what you should let slide by.

If you catch onto something you think you should hold onto and struggle with it and try to make it fit into your life, you may succeed to some degree or you may find yourself wondering why your life sucks right about now. Why is it so hard? Why is it a struggle?

Ask for clarity. Ask for understanding. Ask to know what things you should follow and what you should let go of. Asking is a powerful thing. All we have to do is ask. Don’t assume you have the answers or know what you should be doing. Allow the greatness of your life to unfold. Become a spectator of your life.

You will be truly amazed.
